Mix

Night Angles Sun and Rain Mix by Night Angles

Brought to you with help from America.

Detroit, Michigan, again.

By far and away the best invention America has produced, butter in seperate bits!

As we were caught up in "Volcanogate" for a few days I mulled over the possibility of a future career in Ceramics (courtesy of Marie Hermann's Pontiac studio).

At this point the dream was still alive, however things took a turn for the worse on day 2 of my new career when I lost control of the wheel and the above trilogy of pots were destroyed in the fallout.

Back in Poul's home, Bloomfield Hills.

Toronto, Ontario, Canadia.

It's not that we were lazy in Toronto, we were just in a good spot so didn't need to get up close to things like this tower (taken from my bed).

er, my bed.

Niagara Falls, NY/Canada.

It's big.

However, in an effort to confuse you on arrival to the American side of the falls, you are invited to take a ride to the 8th floor of the "Niagara Falls Welcome Center" where you are confronted and confounded by a vast array of cuddly animals on ornate tables.

New York (Nick's).

Quiana and Nick, coffee no. 73, Hoe Snap!

Ghostface Killah on the Staten Island ferry.

Tim & Max: "Ever been down to Coney Island Nick?"
Nick: "No, I've heard it's weird though."

The above photograph i present as categoric proof that the above conversation is proof that Nick is a complete liar. (But a most excellent host and supplier of the softest bed in the world.)

Baltimore.

Washington D.C.

A trip like this is for documentation, not enjoyment.

This is the Obamaseses house. Here we watched (er, and filmed...) the Obama children playing in the garden with their dog. This material will be available to view in the film version of "Meet Me By The Weinermobile" (release date tba).

Abraham Lincoln, they like him a lot here.

Real bank.

Real tongue.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year section.

During our rural days, we built an intimate relationship between lens and beast resulting in some sublime and often surprising moments.

The Appalachian Mountains.

Great Smoky Mountains national park.

A landscape awash with Rattlesnakes, Bears, Bobcats, Yellowjacket wasps. You can't see them here, but they're there.

Our dear friend.

We successfully avoided "Deliverance" style encounters and navigated in the direction of Max's forefinger, back to civilisation.

Space Camp, Alabama.

We have been given free reign to adapt Poul on our journey.

Space Monkey.

Max on the moon.

Friday, 2 April 2010

Green Family, New Orleans.

Bossie the Boss (and drool merchant).

The Greens from left: Ruby, Keadren, Evelyn and Tony. Suppliers of incredible hospitality and the biggest bed in the world.

Hangin' out on the porch.

South Mississippi.

After a night of full moon country lane driving packed with the scariest trees we have ever seen and a nuclear power station, we settled in to a completely average motel with a doctor who fanatic from Detroit on the desk. Surreal. Here is Lightning Poul through our peephole.

Meat stop.

Hopson Plantation.

Former cotton plantation just outside Clarksdale, and temporary home of Max and Tim.

Clarksdale, Mississippi.

We on the other hand are running low on money

Dropped in to "Club 2000" as guests of Tatem the wily old delta blues cat with crazy teeth to celebrate his 78th birthday. Over the course of the evening we were treated to a host of delta blues megastars, deep-fried catfish bits (much to max's displeasure) and good ole fashioned hard liquor.

Downtown Clarksdale.

Memphis, Tennessee.

Max basks in the sleazy luxury of 'Motel 6'.

After a restful night, a trip to church to see Rev. Al Green in action
